Madrid, Day 2

We were a bit concerned about jet lag, and the kids proved us right.  They were up last night from about 2:30-4:30am.  Thankfully, they went back to sleep, and we all jumped out of bed at 11:55am local time OOPS!  We meant to be up and out by 10:00.  Oh Well.

So the rest of the day we spent at an ecological park close to Madrid - Faunia.

It was a fancy zoo with multiple habitats, including seals, penguins, snakes, bugs, monkeys, birds, etc.  We saw three different shows and walked all over the park.  Michael had a monkey sit on his shoulders, Jaydn got to throw a frisbee to the seals, and we all had a red racoon/badger animal walk across our laps!

After taking a brief nap on the Metro on the way home,

we topped the day off with ice cream and buttered noodles. We may not be eating like Spaniards, but we are having a magnifico visit!
